Two brothers were sitting on the pier on a gloomy day with the clouds dark, gray, and muggy. They were both boys, Noah and Taz. Noah was inhaling the nice fresh sea air, and Taz was staring out into the horizon of the vast sea.

"Hey Noah, don't you ever wonder what's out in that ocean just down under there?"

"Hmm, yeah, i guess you could say that, its possible theres only sand and rocks but we never know." He smiled.

"I mean there must be just more than that, like maybe ships or fish or animals as we know it!" He jumped up and looked down into the water

"Yeah! It must be so cool down there!" He sighed, "Of course, us people are so caught up in the wonders of the ocean but we dont have the equipment."

"True but there must be a way to get down there and explore the vast undersea."

"Yeah, well, let get home, mom is gonna order pizza tonight." He smiled.

"Alright pizza! Come on I really don't wanna miss that! It could cheer me up on this boring day!"

"Aw, okay. I'll race ya! Ready, set... GO!" And Noah started running.

"Hey no fair you got a head start!" Taz yelled at his brother and ran after him as fast as he could.

"You'll never catch me!!" He chuckled.

"Oh yes I will, just watch me!" And with that Taz pulled out his skateboard from his backpack and rode after him.

"Oh come on!" Noah stopped in exhaustion and took a breath.

"Heh come on bro I got you." Taz laughed as he picked up Noah on his skateboard.

"Whoa!: Noah was surprised and was afraid he would upset Taz's balance on the skate board but he laughed and it was totally fine.

"We'll be home in no time!"

"Yep!"

"Mom, we're home!" Noah yelled.

"....Mom?" Taz questioned as he walked through the empty house. "Where is she?"

"Is she not here?"

"I guess not, she must have went out for something." As they walked through the house they had found a note."

"Hmm? What does it say?"

He held it out in front of them and began to read. "My Dear two boys, this is your mother and father writing to you this note. We're on a special trip right now and we can't really tell you where we are going or where we are now. We're sorry for not letting you know sooner or else we would have told you both in person. We're sorry, but please take care of yourself while we're gone,and dont worry, you'll see us again when the time is right. Signed, Mom and Pa."

Noah fell to his knees and bursted out crying like a baby.

Taz had stood there, clenching the letter in his hands. A few tears had slid down his face and dropped to the floor. "T-They'll never come b-back...It happens e-everytime whenever people like us g-get these kinds of n-notes." He had sobbed and hugged his brother that was crying on the floor.

"T-They left us... M-Mommy told us that we would be a family forever...." Noah sobbed.

"I know b-brother...they had l-lied to us."

He sniffed and shook his head, "No... I haven't given up yet..." he pointed to the sentence, And dont worry, you'll see us again when the time is right....

"I doubt we'll ever see them again. Not in a million years for sure." He had wiped the tears from Noah's eyes and looked straight into his eyes.

"Please, don't be so negative, they wouldn't abandon us like this, they loved us too much. Please dont talk like that." He sniffed tears reforming in his eyes.

"It was all just probably a bluff Noah, just look at what they did to us."

"No!" Noah jolted up and ran to his room and covered up crying.

Taz had remained silent but when he tried to call to Noah he just stopped and sighed. "Mom...Dad, you're all just a big joke and fat liars!" He shouted while punching a nearby wall while almost hitting a family picture off the wall.

Night came and Noah was still in his bed but asleep.

"Noah? You there?"

Noah started to cry again, "I need someone...."

"I'm here for you bro. I-I didn't mean those things that I had said earlier about mom and dad."

"I-Its... Okay..." He hugged Taz, "You were just angry...."

"I'm sorry... can you forgive me for that? I just didn't know how I should have felt after that." Then he had hugged Noah and cried softly into his shirt.

"H-Hey Taz?" He sniffed.

"Yes Noah?"

"C-Could we go back to the sea tomorrow? That would really cheer me up, you know Mom and Dad always liked the beach..."

"Sure bro, we can go back there tomorrow. We can stay there and remember them there." He had looked up into Noah's eyes and smiled while patting him on the shoulder.

"Thank you..." He fell asleep in his chest.

"Heh, goodnight Noah." After saying that, they both had fell into a deep sleep.

Noah sighed as he and Taz both walked down to the ocean.

"Well this sure is nice isn't it?"

Noah nodded rubbing his arm, "Let's go sit over there," He walked over to a barren spot near the tides.

"Alright." Taz said while walking next to his brother and sat down in the barren spot.

Noah hugged his knees and stared at the sea, "I wish they were here..."

"Yeah I wish they were here too... it's just so lonely without them." He sighed while
looking out at the horizon again.

"Hmm... yeah..." He stared out when he saw two pieces of string which looked like a pendant with the names, Taz and Noah. "H-Hey Taz, look at this." He picked them up and showed them to him.

"Huh? What is that thing?" Taz asked as he tilted his head slightly.

"I don't know but it has our names on it."

"Weird, you don't think it's actually for us do you?"

"I guess so..." He put it on.

"Hmm alright, I guess so then." He muttered while putting in around his neck

"They are pretty cool." Noah said admiring the red and black stone along with the sharp tooth around his neck.

"Yeah I have to admit this does look cool." Taz added while looking at the small tooth and a blue and gray stone in the middle.

Noah stared at the sea, and the more he stared, he became compelled to go towards it, more, more, and more.

"You ok Noah? You aren't looking so good."

"I think im.... fine." He took a huge breath, which was abnormal.

"You don't look like you're fine bro. Maybe we should go home, all this family business must be making you stressed." He looked at Noah and tilted his head as he felt like he was out of breath as well.

"You dont either, you look a little gray." Noah added seeing that Taz's body color started to get a grey hue to it.

"Huh? Where?" Taz tried to look around his body and didn't really notice the color of his skin changing.

"Do...you not... see t-that?" Noah said inhaling and exhaling but rather hard, like he couldn't breath.

"No I don't see...anything wrong with... me." He continued to breathe harder and harder as some gills appeared on the sides of his neck.

"Taz! Your-" His sentece was cut short as his neck developed three gills which popped out and started to flair for water as Noah grabbed his neck trying to breath.

"N-Noah!" Without thinking, Taz dragged Noah and himself into the cold waters of the ocean.

Noah felt the cold water hit is head but he had already stopped breathing and closed his eyes.

"Oh no...Noah!" He cried out as he could breathe a little better but started to shake his brother to get him to wake from his slumber.

Noah still had his eyes closed but his gills started to flow up and down getting air.

"You can't die Noah! Please you're the only one I have left in my life!" He sobbed as his teeth became replaced by new sharper teeth simlar to the one on his pendant.

Noah's eyes cracked open, "T-Taz...? Why are you crying, and you really need to go see the dentist about those teeth..." Noah said, althought he didn't know his teeth were going throught the same fate.

"Noah! I was so worried about you...and I do not need to go to the dent..ist?" Taz felt his teeth with his human hand and felt how sharp they were.

"See- Agh!" Noah screamed in pain as he curled up in pain and his spine cracked.

"Yeah, I saw oww...grargh!"  Taz yelled in pain as a crescent shaped tail had formed near his lower back and grew from his spine.

"Grr!" Noah's back felt weird as a spinal dorsal fin shaped from his back and shot out, his hand started to grow claws and morph together to make them three fingered hands with red and black webbing in the middle. His arms had grown fins that acted almost like his tail but they were on his arms which helped him swim faster in the water.

"Augh! What's happening to us bro?!" He had felt as if someone had slashed his upper back several times as a dorsal fin with a small chip in the middle formed in that area. His hands had changed to webbed claws with a slightly blue and grey hue added to it as well as merging into 3 digits. Small fins had also developed near his wrists like small little sails in the water.

"I-I dont know! Rragh!" He cried as a tail burst from his trousers as a tail like Taz's shot out with the colors black and red.

"Hrgh...this is super painful." His jaw had become much stronger like he could bite through some metal while his sense of smell had become much more powerful.

"I know..." He kicked off his shoes and pulled off his socks as they took the shape of what looked like a hand but with claws and with webbing and what seemed like digit-grade form.

Taz had also done the same taking off his shoes and letting his feet change into fins with webbing between all his toes. They looked just like his shark hands, only they had 5 digits and looked like diving flippers.

Noah's face pushed out into a small muzzle with muzzle nostrils which made his sense of smell more alert and his ears became fins and his eyes had mor heightened vision.

"How are you holding up Noah?" He looked at his brother while his face pushed out into a muzzle and his ears became fins similar to Noah's.

"This hurts..." His chest expanded as the red and black colored covered his full body and chest and his neck massed up more and his transformation was done. His shirt was ripped to shreds and had washed away in the tide, his shorts remained but it had a big hole despite the tail.

"I know how it feels. I hope it's almost over." His chest started to expand slightly as his shirt had ripped off due to all the changes. Like Noah, his shorts had remained but still had some small rips from his rough skin.

"I-Is it over?" Noah asked tears streaming from his face.

"I think it is Noah. You look great!" Taz swam with his new body around Noah then stopped and wiped the tears from his face. "Try it out! It's pretty fun like this!"

"I-I dunno how..." Noah said both embarassed and nervous.

"It's pretty easy once you get used to it. Just move your arms tail and legs like this!" Swimming around in several circles around Noah, Taz began to get dizzy and nearly hit his brother in the head.

"Oof! U-uh... okay." He started to do what Taz did and was rather clumsy even in water.

"Heh heh alright that's enough of that. Why did this even happen to us?" He looked at his whole body and the pendant that hung from his neck.

"Thats what I was wondering..." Noah said pondering. All of a sudden two figure were in the distance swimming toward them, "U-Uh, Taz... What do we do, they're coming straight for us!"

"Huh? Who's coming for us?" He looked around then saw the two figures coming straight for them. "Uh-oh... this isn't good!!"

"What do we do?!" The two figures slowly came closer and closer to the two boys.

"S-Swim?!" Noah jolted.

"Yeah!" They both turned tail to the two figures and swam as fast as they could.

Noah did turn fast enough and the figure wrapped his arms around him, "Taz!" He cried.

"No let go of him!" Taz had pulled with all his strength but he was still exhausted from his transformation. "Leave him alone!" He houted but then felt the other figure grab him as well.

Noah started to sob, "No, please dont kill me!"

The figure started to caress his head and gave him a reassuring, "Shh... It's alright."

"P-Please I d-don't wanna die!" Taz started to cry like his brother.

The other figure had rubbed Taz's head in trying to calm him down. "It's ok we won't kill either of you."

The voices sounded rather familiar annd Noah looked behind him to find someone like him except it was the color of Taz, a female in fact. And then, Noah realized, "M-Mom?"

"W-What?! I-I thought you had left us?!" Taz had turned around and saw someone that had looked like him only as a bigger one.

"We would never leave you boys abandoned all by yourselves." The one holding Taz had released him from his grip.

Noah's eyes filled with tears as he hugged his mother, "I-I though... you were gone, forever!" He cried nuzzling hims mother.

"It's okay, we're here now." Their mother said.

"Besides, didn't you read the not we left you guys?" Their father asked.

"I-I thought it was all a lie Dad." Taz cried as he hugged both of his parents.

"Why would we ever leave you two forever?"

"I-I don't know daddy." Taz sobbed even more.

The Mother wiped away at Noah's tears, "No more crying now little ones, we have to get you used to your new bodies now."

"You mean...you're the ones who gave us those pendants?!" Taz looked up at his mother with a small glimmer in his eyes.

"Yes, those weren't just meant for anyone." She answered.

"They really were meant for you since they had both of your names on it."

"Oh..." Noah said, "Okay, can we just go home?"

"This IS our home." Their mother answered, "We live in the sea, beside, we have an awesome view of a coral reef."

"Really?" Noah asked, "Thats so cool, but what about our.... er... human house?"

"Yeah what are we going to do about that?" Taz asked while looking at both of them.

"It'll still be there, we can visit anytime we want, does that sound okay?"

"It's your decision you two since it wasn't your choice to become like us."

"Of course it sounds okay right Noah?" Taz turned and looked at his brother.

"Yes, thats totally fine. And I dont mind cause i kinda like this." Noah smiled.

"Alright then, mom dad, we choose to stay like this and live both here and at our real home!" Taz smiled at them and hugged his brother. "This is great right bro!"

"Yes!" He hugged his brother, "I want to stay like this forever."

"Me too! I could be this any day!" Taz shoted as he swam circles with his brother around their parents.

They stayed happy as a... rather weird family... but they stayed together to the end.
